Description

Palua berth is located at mile 181.5 fm orinoco seabuoy, this pier is operated by copal, a concrete "l" shape built on cayssons, 275 m long and 20 m wide with access bridge.
Loading boom traveling on rail on 518 ft distance and can load vessels with max. Outreach of 62 ft plus hbi trajectory. During high water stage, clearance fm water line to top of hatch coaming not to exceed 43 ft to permit loading boom to reach center of hold. Loading rate of hbi is abt. 1.000 mt per hour.

Ldng boom has a soft loader type "z" connected to the end of boom.

Minimum depth alongside the pier is of 33 ft during dead low water periods, permissible loading draft is controlled by river stage. During high water period draft can reach abt 42 ft fw.
