Description

Venalum pier is located at mile 193 fm orinoco seabuoy, it is concrete pier of 300 m long and 29 m wide, equipped with 2 gantry cranes of 35 tons capacity and 28 m outreach. Venalum pier is also fitted with yokohama fenders of 3 m diameter.

Venalum have 3 mobile hoppers of 30 cbm capacity, 4 x 4 m and 7 m height for receiving bulk cargoes. Shore cranes are able to use two (2) electro-hydraulic grabs of 13 cbm capacity each.

At venalum pier the stevedores are working round the clock saturday/sunday and holidays included, venalum can load aluminum prods at a rate of abt. 1.500 mt per day working by 2 gangs. Pitch is discharged only during daylight at an estimated rate of 1.200 mt x day.
